When you welcome your very own little person in to the world you want to make sure they are cosy and content in the most beautiful of everything. This month we take a look at a range of eco baby clothes and accessories, trialled and tested by our very own baby Liv.
Every little baby needs a sleeping bag, so we took at look at the 100% organic cotton bag from The Gro Company. Instantly mummy loved the very cute design of a baby in a plant pot stiched in to the front of the gro bag – not that we would condone putting Liv in to a plantpot! The bag is incredabilty soft for both mother to hold and baby to snuggle in to and Liv has taken to it very well. It’s machine washable and easy to get in to baby in and out of!
We fell in love with these little sheepskin booties as soon as they arrived in the post. Neatly presented in a stunning box they make for an excellent pressie for a little one. Cutely named ‘Cwtches’, meaning hugs in Welsh, they were also a fond favorite of baby Liv. Hand made in Inch Blue’s workshop in Wales, using locally sourced sheepskin, you can only but love the eco credentials of these little boots – perfect for keeping baby’s feet warm in the extreme winter conditions the UK seems to be experiencing!
Arriving in a lovely cardboard box was the completely eco-friendly, organic and Fair Trade babywear from The Little Green Sheep. Suitable for little boys and girls, the bodysuits and playsuits are hand-made from the softest GOTS certified organic cotton and is entirely fair trade. Liv gave it the thumbs up (although did say the sleeve openings are very narrow and her arms are getting rather chubby!) and loves snuggling down in to her little green sheep… if only they made them for adults mum would be in one too! Liv also tried the nappy balm, baby shampoo and baby body wash which were mild and didn’t dry out her skin, with a subtle lavender smell there were very calming and helpful in settling her down for the night.
