The BBC Good Food Shows are pleased to announce the brand new BBC Good Food Show Summer in the City, which will take place at London’s ExCel Centre from 20 May – 22 May 2016.

This new show will focus on delicious and seasonal foods, with an emphasis on vitality and health and will incorporate the BBC Good Food Eat Well Show.

The BBC Good Food Shows have also unveiled the newest feature to the BBC Good Food Show Summer in the City, the BBC Good Food Stage sponsored by Lakeland. Hosted by Barney Desmazery and Cassie Best from the BBC Good Food cookery team, the Stage will feature a combination of celebrity interviews, recipe demonstrations and panel discussions on diverse health topics and the latest food trends.

Visitors can enjoy inspirational demonstrations in the Show’s incredible Supertheatre from talented chefs, including Tom Kerridge and Paul Hollywood as well as eat well gurus Hemsley + Hemsley and Davina McCall. The Show also features fantastic shopping from an array of food and drink exhibitors – so you can taste, experience, discover and shop for the flavours of summer.

“Being part of the first ever BBC Good Food Eat Well Show last year was great fun, so we’re thrilled to be back for round 2,” said Hemsley + Hemsley. “We love that wellness and delicious cooking – what we’re all about – go hand in hand at this brand new show, and we’re looking forward to sharing some of our favourite recipes live on stage.”

Miso Tasty
Bonnie Chung spent years sourcing the highest quality miso paste, that was 100% natural, vegetarian and gluten free. The fermented soybean paste from Japan is prized for its rich, complex umami flavours alongside its notorious health–giving properties. Unlike other instant miso soups Miso Tasty keeps their products in a paste form and package the seaweed and garnishes separately. Miso will be selling their Soup Boxes which are only 45 calories per serving and have a high protein content and Jar Pastes ideal for a curious cook who is keen to try the many flavours and colours of miso to their meals.

Started in spring 2015, RawCo aim to provide versatile ingredients to encourage more people to start making delicious, nutritious homemade food from scratch. At the Show they will be selling their Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, which is de-husked, grated, dehydrated and pressed at an average temperature of 40°C (105°F). This production does not use solvents or other nasty chemicals. Minimal processing ensures an unadulterated product that retains the full breadth of flavour and all the natural goodness of the coconut. RawCo is also selling their Coconut Amino Sauce, crafted from the sap of a coconut tree. It is ideal for coeliacs or those following a paleo or primal lifestyle. As the name suggests, its protein profile includes 17 amino acids. Coconut Amino Sauce can be used in exactly the same way as soy sauce. It can be added to salad dressings, marinades, stir-fries or used for dipping and basting.

Gathr is selling Crobar, an award-winning natural energy bar, containing cricket flour, as well as nuts, seeds and fruit. Crobar is gluten and dairy free, free from added sugar, as well as Paleo friendly. Gathr introduces cricket flour as it is not only high in protein but contains high levels of iron and all essential amino acids. Crickets could be the answer to the ever- increasing and enormous protein demands of the future, as they present an alternative protein source with huge health and environmental benefits.
